Introducing Tampa Early College Academy: A New Era of Early College Education

Tampa Early College Academy (TECA) is preparing to open its doors in Fall 2027, bringing a bold and innovative approach to secondary education in Tampa.

As a 6th–12th grade Early College Charter School, TECA is designed to bridge the gap between high school and higher education. Our mission is simple but powerful: to ensure students graduate not only with a high school diploma but also with up to two years of college credit.

This model is built on the Early College High School Initiative, a proven approach that accelerates academic achievement while expanding access to college-level learning opportunities for all students.

What Makes TECA Different?

TECA is not a traditional school—it is a structured academic pathway designed for long-term success. From day one, scholars will be immersed in a culture of high expectations, academic rigor, and leadership development.

Key highlights include:

  • Early exposure to college-level coursework

  • A structured 6th–12th grade academic progression

  • Strong focus on college readiness and career preparation

  • Personalized academic support and student development

A Vision for the Future

We believe that education should be both aspirational and accessible. TECA is committed to building a learning environment where students are challenged, supported, and prepared for life beyond graduation.

As we move closer to our Fall 2027 opening, we look forward to welcoming our founding families and building a strong academic community from the ground up.
